Terraformer is now generating a report on new species appearing in an ecosystem in order to build a phylogenetic tree.
In this tree we can see the tree of the different genomes for three genus (Guineu/fox, Conill/rabbit and Herba/grass) in the first ecosystem of the first planet. Sims’ genome changes due to mutations caused by radiation.
In present version, genome holds this information:
- Gen0 – throphic level
- Gen1 – genus
- Gen2 – related to tolerance to temperature changes
- Gen3 – related to optimal temperature
- Gen4 – related to size
- Gen5 to 9 – not used
The file is generated in .dot format.
.dot is a graph description language. Graphs can be rendered online at GraphViz Workspace.
Future improvings will include displaying the graph alongside a timeline.
